What would push a woman beyond the brink? The CBS All Access original series Why Women Kill now has its three leading ladies to show us. Kirby Howell-Baptiste will be one of the three female heroines in this darkly comedic drama.

Howell-Baptise joins previously announced stars Lucy Liu and Ginnifer Goodwin as they portray women in three different eras. Created by Marc Cherry (Desperate Housewives, Devious Maids) the series focuses on Goodwin's '60s era housewife, Beth Ann, Liu's 1980s socialite, Simone, and now Howell-Baptiste as Taylor, a lawyer in 2018.

Though the women come from very different decades, the show will examine how despite the roles of women changing over the years, their reaction to betrayal has not.

Taylor is a fiercely intelligent, kick-ass woman and lawyer perfectly in control of her sensitive side when she chooses to display it. She is also very protective of her husband, who is content to play beta to her alpha.

Described admiringly by her husband, Eli, she is "one hot feminist," driven, impassioned, and very sexy. She's also upfront about being bisexual, and she and Eli have an open marriage, which, so far, seems to be working.

Viewers may recognize Howell-Baptiste from her television credits in celebrated series such as Killing Eve, The Good Place, and Barry, for which she was nominated for a 2019 SAG Award, as well as the upcoming season of Veronica Mars and the Blumhouse horror anthology series Into the Dark.

Sam Jaeger, Reid Scott and Alexandra Daddario are also slated to star in the series. Creator Marc Cherry will serve as Executive Producer of Why Women Kill, alongside Imagine's Brian Grazer (Empire, Genius) and Francie Calfo (Empire, Genius), and Acme Productions' Michael Hanel and Mindy Schultheis.
