Set to hit CBS All Access on Thursday, Aug. 6, Star Trek: Lower Decks was developed by Mike McMahan (Rick and Morty, Solar Opposites). It focuses on the support crew serving on one of Starfleet’s least important ships, the U.S.S. Cerritos, in 2380.

Ensigns Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome), Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid), Rutherford (Eugene Cordero), and Tendi (Noël Wells) all live and work in the "lower decks" and must keep up with their duties and their social lives—often while the ship is rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.

On the upper decks—and in command of the Cerritos and its ongoing mission to make second contact—is the bridge crew, including Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), Commander Jack Ransom (Jerry O’Connell), Lieutenant Shaxs (Fred Tatasciore), and Doctor T’Ana (Gillian Vigman).
