About Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story

In 2012, an unarmed, Black high school student, Trayvon Martin was shot and killed in Sanford, Florida, by neighborhood watch member George Zimmerman. Based on Florida's Stand Your Ground Law, Zimmerman was acquitted of second-degree murder, claiming he shot Martin in self-defense.
